WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

** Due to staff development, the Worthington library will open later on the following dates:

March 1, 8 and 15: Opening at 10 a.m.

April 12: Opening at 9:30 a.m.

The Winter Reading Program comes to an end March 30. Visit either the Worthington or Adrian branch library to sign up and get your punch card. Read 12 books (or audio books/e-books) and bring your punch card back to choose your prize.

After you have turned in your completed card(s), be sure to fill out a raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing! Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate.

Worthington Library youth programming

Monday: Wii (grades 4-9), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Tuesday: Kids Club (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Wednesday: Story Time (toddlers-preschoolers), 10 to 11 a.m.; Just Gurlz (girls grades 5-9), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Thursday: Kids Club (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Please call the library at (507) 295-5340 to sign up your children. Children are responsible for their own ride to and from the library. Please have your children picked up by 5 p.m.

Worthington Library adult programming

Feb. 26: Friends of the Library Book Club, 6 p.m., discussing the book, “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. All are welcome!

Feb. 27: Board Game Night, 6 to 8 p.m., ages 18+

March 5: Cross Stitch Class with Julie Buntjer, 6 to 8 p.m. This is the first of a two-part class; registration is required.

March 12: Cross Stitch Class with Julie Buntjer, 6 to 8 p.m. This is the second of a two-part class; registration is required.

March 18: Author visit with Mary Casanova, 10 a.m. This program is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.

March 19: Board Game Night, 6 to 8 p.m. For ages 18+ please.

Adrian Library programming

Feb. 27: Teen Night, 4:30 to 6 p.m. Snacks and refreshments provided!

March 2: Polymer Clay Jewelry with Etta, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. People ages 13 and older are invited to learn how to make polymer clay jewelry!

New books for adults: “The Women” by Kristin Hannah, “Last Night” by Luanne Rice, “One Wrong Word” by Hank Phillippi Ryan, “The Price You Pay” by Nick Petrie, “The Bad Weather Friend” by Dean Koontz, “Owning Up” by George Pelecanos, “Unsinkable” by Jenni L. Walsh, “The Teacher” by Freida McFadden, “What is Mine” by Lyn Liao Butler and “When Grumpy Met Sunshine” by Charlotte Stein.

New books for children: “Some Cat!” by Mary Casanova, “Hornbeam All in” by Cynthia Rylant and Arthur Howard, “Ten Little Rabbits” by Maurice Sendak, “Curious George Colors Eggs” adaptation by Kate O’Sullivan and “Tricky Chickies” by Mercer Mayer.

Art Club: Art Club meets the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to join and all are welcome!
