BENGALURU: Mexico has emerged as the new hotspot for customer experience management (CXM) that enhances customer engagement across multiple touchpoints. TCS and Infosys have had a presence in Mexico for over a decade now.
Recently, LTIMindtree opened a 100-seater facility in Mexico City. HCLTech, which set up operations in Mexico 14 years back, expanded its footprint in Guadalajara two years back.
The company is hiring 1,300 people in the next two years to strengthen its current employee base of 2,400 people in the country. GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, opened a new engineering and a sales centre in Mexico. The centres are located at Guadalajara and Mexico City.
In fact, Infosys BPM offers both BPM (business process management) and IT services from Monterrey in Mexico and grew its operations in Mexico City. It has over 500 professionals catering to over 50 customers working across customer service, finance and accounting, sourcing & procurement, sales, and fulfilment. It set up its centre in 2007.
Mexico’s advantages include geographical proximity and cultural compatibility to both the US and Canada. US IT research advisory Everest Group said Mexico has a global services talent pool of nearly 197,000 full-time equivalents (FTEs). The workforce has strong multi-language capabilities in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
