Susan Jean (nee Tarbox) Minnella
Susan Jean (nee Tarbox) Minnella, 77, formerly of Gowanda, passed away Monday, Jan. 8, 2024 at Vitas Hospice Care in Naples, FL. She was born on July 11, 1946 in Gowanda, daughter of the late Charles and Jean (Kernahan) Tarbox.
For many years, Susan taught elementary grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. She was an avid golfer and gardener but was passionate about playing the piano and singing. She was also a member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Gowanda.
Susan is lovingly survived by her companion, George “Butch” McIntyre, as well as many cousins, friends, and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Susan is predeceased by a brother, Stuart Tarbox.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
Susan loved her flowers; as per her wish, flowers are encouraged or memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s RC Church.
Burial will be in Collins Center Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda.
