Lyle Mitchell
BROCTON – Brocton Central School has named its students of the month for December.
Lyle Mitchell was selected by the Brocton Middle School faculty and staff. He is currently an eighth-grader and resides in Portland with his father, Jay Mitchell. He is a member of band. He participates in baseball and football locally and enjoys playing sports. His favorite subject is Social Studies. In the future, his goal is to make it to Major League Baseball and the National Football League.
Austin McIntyre was selected by the Brocton High School faculty and staff. He is a senior, resides in Brocton and is the son of Darren McIntyre and Denee Jewell.
He has participated in basketball for six years. He is currently a Captain of the Varsity Basketball team. He is also a member of the Varsity Baseball and Soccer teams and has 6 years total experience in both sports.
He has received Honorable Mention as a baseball all-star. He was also named to the Merit Roll in middle school. He has earned 52 hours of community service by acting as a mentor in Physical Education class this school year. McIntyre enjoys singing, hanging out with friends, Optimus Prime and Batman. He is one of many siblings. His favorite subject is physical education.

Austin McIntyre
In the future, he plans to study criminal justice at JCC in preparation to attend the Sheriff’s Academy. He hopes one day to become a Dunkirk Police Officer.
