JAMESTOWN — Abbie Derby led the way as Jamestown beat Falconer 3-1 at Jamestown Bowling Company on Wednesday to finish 37-3 and win the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 regular-season title for the first time in program history.
Derby led the Red & Green with a 235-190-571, while Addison Cappalino had a 183-505. Jamie Beaver chipped in a 466 series as Jamestown finished with a linescore of 806-786-718-2,310.
Marabella Parsons’ 203-171-541 sent the Golden Falcons (23-17) to a 697-798-717-2,212. Rachael Wallace chipped in a 186-487 set.
FALCONER CLINCHES D1 BOYS
JAMESTOWN — Damen Vincent’s 243-191-612 sent Falconer to a 4-0 sweep of Jamestown at Jamestown Bowling Company as the Golden Falcons wrapped up the Division 1 boys regular-season championship with a 42-6 record.
Nic Houston added a 219-203-580, Brayden Scott had a 246-583 and Javier Gonzales spun a 204-197-576 as Falconer finished with a linescore of 879-1,059-897-2,835.
Jack Christensen drilled a 201-279-205-685, Marco LoBello had a 213-248-192-653 and Diesel Cowan dropped a 521 for the Red & Green (16-32), who finished with an 811-1,010-804-2,625.
RUSH, HILLIKER HAVE BIG DAYS
Owen Rush crushed a 215-212-193-620 to lead Fredonia to a 4-0 Division 1 sweep of Cassadaga Valley at Lucky Lanes.
Kyle Berkshire had a 185-194-557 and Nathan Manzella chipped in a 194-504 for the Hillbillies (35-13), who rolled an 873-825-900-2,598 as a team.
Calvin Hilliker dropped a 245-252-678 and Matthew Helwig had a 505 for the Cougars (16-32), who finished with a 775-820-808-2,403.
Londyn Wilmot’s 236-555 led Fredonia to a 4-0 sweep of Cassadaga Valley in the girls match.
Leah Hinds Morrison chipped in a 188-480 as the Hillbillies (27-13) finished with a linescore of 782-685-775-2,242.
Emma Nickerson powered her way to a 185-206-231-622 for the Cougars (5-35), who finished with a 646-666-737-2,049.
RISHEL, CRIST SHINE
JAMESTOWN — Keegan Rishel cracked a 202-224-604 and Logan Crist was right behind with a 211-215-603 as Maple Grove swept Chautauqua Lake 4-0 in Division 2 action at Jamestown Bowling Company.
The Red Dragons (42-10) finished with a team linescore of 751-865-808-2,424.
Logan Little’s 418 sent the Eagles (6-46) to a 594-584-528-1,706.
BROCTON, HORNETS SPLIT
Brocton’s Nathan Laurito rolled a 197-202-571 and Forestville’s Alexander Lucas spilled a 201-186-517 as the teams split 2-2 in Division 2 action at Lucky Lanes.
Peter Bloss had a 477 for the Bulldogs (30-26), who finished with an 802-808-688-2,298.
Tucker Merritt had a 489 and Troy Muck had a 487 for the Hornets (35-17), who had a 772-772-862-2,406 as a team.
GOWANDA BOYS SWEEP
OLEAN — Gavin Whitcher spun a 214-510 to lead Gowanda to a 4-0 sweep of Hinsdale in Division 3 boys action at Good Times.
The Panthers (41-7) finished with a team linescore of 857-758-815-2,430.
Jamie Jimerson’s 218-202-206-626 paced the Bobcats (8-40) to a 567-535-525-1,627.
Madison Rondeau rolled a 199-215-569 and Analia DeGroff had a 183-456 as Hinsdale swept Gowanda 4-0 in girls action.
The Bobcats (44-0) finished with a linescore of 778-843-840-2,461.
Aubrey Smuda’s 408 led the Panthers (25-19) to a 614-670-654-1,938.
