Husband of pregnant Utah business owner killed in Arizona car wreck dies in hospital days later

LINDON, Utah (KUTV) —
Parker Stott, husband of 24-year-old Chloe Stott who was killed in a car wreck while the couple was traveling to Ariz. to share the news of their pregnancy with family members, died at the hospital as a result of his injures Saturday morning.
The news was shared via Instagram Saturday night through an account created by loved ones in honor of the young couple. Prior to this announcement, Parker had reportedly been in the hospital with extensive injuries since the crash on Wednesday.
According to the Instagram post, Parker underwent his third surgery early Saturday for cleaning of his burns and skin graphing.
Once the surgery was completed, medical staff reportedly delivered the news that Parker’s injuries were more serious than they had though and that “the outlook was extremely bleak.”
Parker’s vitals began to plummet several hours later. The post stated that he died at 6:47 p.m. surrounded by family.
“As deeply saddened as we are to loose Parker, who had such a positive impact on so many people’s lives and brought us all so much happiness here on Earth, we are so thankful for God’s mercy that he gets to be with Chloe and relieved from all this pain,” the post read. “We know they are in a better place and get to be together. We know they will be watching over us, cheering us all on until we get to reunite with them again. We love you forever Chloe & Parker.”
Family shared that not only was Parker united with Chloe and his son, but also by his father-in-law who he never had a chance to meet.
Chloe and Parker were involved in the crash that ultimately took both of their lives just before 8:20 p.m. on Dec. 20 while traveling along U.S. 93 in Wickenburg, Ariz. They were traveling to Ariz. to stay with family for the holidays.
The couple was heading southbound while passing vehicles in the legal passing zone. Their car then failed to complete a pass and was struck by a Volvo truck-tractor hauling a trailer.
