WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Library, 407 12th St., Worthington, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Adrian Branch Library, 214 Maine Ave., Adrian, is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Winter Reading Program continues through March 30. Visit either the Worthington or Adrian branch library to sign up and get your punch card. Read 12 books (or audio books/e-books) and bring your punch card back to choose your prize.

After you have turned in your completed card(s), be sure to fill out a raffle ticket for the grand prize drawing! Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate.

Worthington Library youth programming

Monday: Wii (grades 4-9), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Tuesday: Kids Club (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Wednesday: Story Time (toddlers-preschoolers), 10 to 11 a.m.; Just Gurlz (girls grades 5-9), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Thursday: Kids Club (grades K-5), after school until 4:45 p.m.

Please call the library at (507) 295-5340 to sign up your children. Children are responsible for their own ride to and from the library. Please have your children picked up by 5 p.m.

Worthington Library adult programming

Feb. 6: Adulting 101: Reducing home energy bills, presented by Citizens Utility Board. Free 30-minute energy bill consults available. Call to reserve your spot. A presentation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 9: Local Author Adult Book Fair, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Feb. 9: One Day Only Book Sale: Everything is 25 cents!

Feb. 13: Musician Paul Imholte, “The Stringman”, 6 to 7 p.m.

Feb. 21: AARP “Online Fraud and Cyber Crimes” program, 2 to 3 p.m., Ecumen Meadows

Feb. 27: Board Game Night, 6 to 8 p.m., ages 18+

New books for adults: “Front Sight” by Stephen Hunter, “The Clinic” by Cate Quinn, “Mine” by J.R. Ward, “Taste of Home: Easy Everyday Cooking” and “The Friendship Club” by Robyn Carr.

New large print books for adults: “Flags on the Bayou” by James Burke, “Homestead” by Melinda Moustakis, “Grizzly Moon” by Patrick Dearen, “Good Night, Irene” by Luis Alberto Urrea, “Hello Stranger” by Katherine Center, “None of This is True” by Lisa Jewell.

New books for children: “Minecraft Stonesword Saga: The End of the Overworld!” by Nick Eliopulos, “Marshamallow Martians: Museum Sleepover” by Deanna Kent, “Eyes That Weave the World’s Wonders” by Joanna Ho with Liz Kleinrock, “Horse & Buggy: On Wheels!” by Ethan Long and “I Am Ruth Bader Ginsburg” by Brad Meltzer.

Art Experience: The Worthington library and Nobles County Art Center are hosting the collaborative art experience with Dan Wahl, “Horse Meditations” through Feb. 27. Located in the main part of the library, this should be a fun, interactive experience for all ages! Come and relax in the Meditation Cave in the Art Center.

Art Club: Art Club meets the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to join and all are welcome!
