Relentless Merch, a Lincoln-based screen-printing company, will win big if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. The company has a contract to print 10,000 t-shirts if — and only if — the Chiefs are crowned NFL champions.
One Nebraska-based screen-printing company will be watching this year’s Super Bowl with extra focus and a big opportunity on the line.
Relentless Merch, a screen-printing and embroidery company in Lincoln, is preparing to print 10,000 Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl-themed shirts if they beat the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday.
Nathan Richardson, co-founder of Relentless Merch, said he is excited about the opportunity and plans to have a small watch party with members of his team for the game.
“A lot of our crew are big fans of the Chiefs and are hoping they win either way,” he said.
If the Chiefs lose, Richardson’s team will head home. If they win, there will be little time for celebration that night as the 24 staff members, including Richardson, will hurry back to the shop to begin printing at 11 p.m. Richardson said they will work throughout the night to have 10,000 shirts ready by 8 a.m. the next morning.

Delivery will start as soon as possible, and Richardson said the shirts will be distributed to local businesses in the Lincoln area and across Kansas City.
Richardson and his brother Matt started the shop out of a house in college and have come a long way since, now with their own location in northeast Lincoln.
“It’s turned into its own beast and just kept growing,” Richardson said. “We’re not the most well known, but we’re the biggest shop in Lincoln.”
Richardson said Relentless Merch has printed for a lot of touring bands and big clients, including Lionel Richie, Avril Lavigne and New Kids On The Block — but never for something like this before.
He said he hopes the Chiefs shirt contract can lead to more opportunities for his company.
“Being able to do more stuff like this and working in the collegiate and NFL field would be awesome,” he said.
Richardson said he and his team have always dreamed of printing Husker merchandise, but for now, his mind is set on the Super Bowl.
