PHILADELPHIA — The Christmas Day showdown between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles is underway at Lincoln Financial Field as the Eagles look to take a game lead in the NFC East with two games left. The Giants need a win to stay mathematically alive in the playoff hunt.

The Eagles have never lost on Christmas while the Giants are playing their first Christmas game in their storied history. Philadelphia is 16-3 in its last 19 games against New York, while the Giants haven’t beaten the Eagles at the Linc since 2013. This is the teams’ first matchup since the 2023 NFC Divisional playoffs when the Eagles beat the Giants 38-7. They meet twice over the next three weeks.

New York may have nine losses, but the Giants are 3-2 with Tommy DeVito as a starter. DeVito has completed 64.4% of his passes for 1,032 yards with eight touchdowns to three interceptions for a 91.5 passer rating this season.

“I’m not surprised,” Eagles safety Sydney Brown, a former college teammate of DeVito, said on DeVito’s accomplishments. “He’s taking advantage of the opportunity. He’s the type of guy that’s an extreme competitor  — and he’s just riding with it.”

Will the Eagles stop their losing streak or can the Giants extend their season another week? All the real-time updates and analysis can be found in the live blog below! Merry Christmas everyone! How to watch
