We’ve got a dandy in Duval. Despite Joe Burrow’s absence, the Cincinnati Bengals are putting forth a gamely effort against the heavily-favored Jaguars. The two teams played to a 14-14 tie at intermission.
Cincinnati could have had a lead a halftime if not for a missed fourth-down attempt on its first drive and a missed field goal on its second. The Bengals showed resolve by scoring touchdowns on their next two drives. Both touchdowns were courtesy of Joe Mixon, while quarterback Jake Browning completed all but two of his 19 first-half pass attempts.
Like the Bengals, the Jaguars’ offense also had a prosperous first half. Jacksonville’s offense was spearheaded by Travis Etienne Jr. and Evan Engram, who were responsible for both Jaguars touchdowns in the game’s opening half.
Can the Bengals keep their playoff hopes alive, or will the Jaguars flush Cincinnati’s dreams of a third straight playoff berth? Check out our live blog below to find out.
