Super Bowl LVIII has finally arrived, and it’s exclusively on CBS. The defending champion Kansas City Chiefs hope to become the first team to go back-to-back since 2003-04 New England Patriots, while the San Francisco 49ers look to dethrone their postseason rival as a means of exacting revenge after the Chiefs beat the Niners in Super Bowl LIV four years ago.
Kansas City did not seem like its normal juggernaut self most of the season, but once the playoffs began, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce & Co. rounded right back into form. San Francisco, meanwhile, ran through opponents most of the season only to fall behind by large margins in each of its playoff games. And then, the team that so many said wasn’t equipped to come from behind, did exactly that in consecutive games on its way back to the Super Bowl.
Now, we get to see the AFC and NFC’s best vie for the right to call themselves champions. Which team will hoist the Lombardi Trophy come Sunday night? Keep it locked to CBS Sports throughout the evening as we update you live throughout Super Bowl LVIII.
