Tagaro is responsible for overseeing food preparation of catering events. He previously was a banquet sous chef.
Tagaro started working for the hotel in 2018 as a student in the J-1 visa program. After completing the program, he worked to stay in the U.S. and became part of the banquet kitchen staff.

Denise Burrell has been named executive director of the Louisiana’s River Parishes Tourist Commission.
Burrell has served as deputy director of the organization since February 2019.
She is a graduate of East St. John High School and Southern University.

Jones Walker has bolstered its environmental litigation team by adding three attorneys to its New Orleans office.
Philip Wood represents oil and gas companies in a wide range of disputes, including landowner contamination and public and private land loss claims, landowner lease disputes and toxic tort claims.
He earned a bachelor’s in history from Occidental College and a law degree, magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School. While in law school, Wood earned the Charles Kohlmeyer Jr. Award, presented to the outstanding graduate in maritime law and served as notes and comments editor of the Maritime Law Journal.
Rachel Scarafia practices in the areas of environmental and energy litigation, with a particular focus on landowner contamination claims, contract disputes and public and private land loss claims.
She earned a bachelor’s in liberal arts and a master’s in education, both from Florida Atlantic University and a law degree, summa cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. While in law school, Scarafia was a member of the Law Review.
Jessica Duggan helps clients address environmental issues related to energy, water, transportation, infrastructure and other development projects. She has worked for private sector, public agency, tribal and nonprofit clients on projects ranging from infill and master-planned mixed-use housing and commercial projects to tribal gaming facilities.
She earned a bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in Native American studies from Stanford University and a law degree/master of social work from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.

Julie Donald and Lluvia Peveto have been promoted by Covalent Logic.
Donald is now senior director of strategy. She has been with the firm since May 2016 and has more than 15 years of experience in tourism, industrial and utility management.
She earned a bachelor’s in mass communications from LSU.
Peveto is now director of accounts. She has been with the agency for nearly three years and has experience in media coverage, customer service and strategic marketing.
She earned a bachelor’s in communications, with an emphasis on journalism/marketing, from Lamar University.
