The PIAA released its classification reports by sport on Tuesday afternoon and a few changes have been made effective for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. Beginning in the 2024-25 season, Bellefonte boys wrestling will compete in District six Class AAA (it currently sits in Class AA).
Bald Eagle remains in Class AA for wrestling along with Jersey Shore in Class AAA, Central Mountain AAA, Bald Eagle AA and Sugar Valley AA.
In football, Central Mountain will drop from District 6 Class 5A down to Class 4A where Bellefonte, Greater Johnstown and Juniata reside. Bald Eagle Area remains AA while Jersey Shore remains 4A in District 4.
In baseball and softball, Bald Eagle Area will move up to Class AAA in District 6. In volleyball, Central Mountain will move down to Class 3A with Bellefonte and Hollidaysburg as opposed to its current standing in 4A with State College, Altoona and Mifflin County.
