Bard is now Gemini AI
Gemini is the new name of Google’s generative AI-powered chatbot, which is now available via the web, Android, and also for iOS users. There is a free tier Gemini and users can also get access to the Gemini Ultra 1.0 with more features and capabilities for a monthly subscription charge of $19.99. Google is likely to introduce new features within the Gemini in the coming days.

Sam Altman seeks $7 trillion in funding
Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI is currently seeking a whopping $7 trillion in funding for a “wildly ambitious tech initiative,” suggests a report from WSJ. The report also highlights that the company might use this funding to develop advanced AI models and to set up more chip-making fabs to solve the chipset shortage issue.

WhatsApp to get cross-platform compatibility
WhatsApp will soon support cross-platform texting, at least in the EU region to comply with the Digital Markets Act. This should allow WhatsApp users to text users who are on other platforms such as Telegram and Signal, however, these messages could not be as secure as native WhatsApp messages and are likely to lack end-to-end encryption.

Foldable iPhones in development
Apple is reportedly working on at least two foldable iPhones and a foldable iPad. According to several reports, Apple is likely to focus on a clamshell foldable, similar to the Galaxy Z Flip5 and it is expected to be more durable and more expensive compared to the other foldables in the market.
