The Rock is back on SmackDown. Dwayne Johnson officially joined Roman Reigns, Solo SIkoa, Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman in The Bloodline two weeks ago. The Rock returns on Friday night amid ongoing tensions with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
The Rock had an altercation with Rhodes and the world heavyweight champion at the WrestleMania 40 kickoff press conference in Las Vegas. That encounter encouraged Rock to side with his cousin Reigns. WWE has teased a Rock and Reigns vs. Rhodes and Rollins tag team match but nothing has been formally announced. It remains to be seen what The Rock’s intentions are coming to SmackDown on Friday.
Two matches are also scheduled for Friday’s show. Bayley and Dakota Kai reunite against The Kabuki Warriors in a collision of former Damage CTRL teammates. Speaking of broken alliances, the tension between former LWO stablemates Carlito and Santos Escobar boils over in a street fight.
