The Tennessee Titans have hired Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, the team announced Wednesday. Callahan had his second interview with the Titans on Monday, something that clearly went well. He will be the sixth head coach for the franchise since it relocated to Tennessee.
Callahan will replace Mike Vrabel, who was fired after six seasons with the Titans. They went 6-11 and missed the playoffs for a second straight year this season. The Titans’ job opening wasn’t one of the more popular available this hiring cycle, in part because of how Vrabel’s exit went down, sources told Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein and Charles Robinson.
Meanwhile on Monday, the Panthers announced the hiring of Dan Morgan as their new general manager/president of football operations. Morgan, a former Panthers linebacker, has served as the team’s assistant GM since 2021.
Also on Monday, the Eagles will reportedly hold their end-of-season news conference with Nick Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman. It’s regarded as a sign that Sirianni will return for the 2024 season, albeit with changes to his staff.
On Sunday, Sirianni reportedly fired defensive coordinator Sean Desai, an expected move as a staff shakeup was inevitable after Philly’s playoff collapse.
