SINCLAIRVILLE — Tanleigh Bestine rained in 31 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists to lead Westfield past Cassadaga Valley 49-45 in nonleague girls basketball action on Monday.

Sydney Hotchkiss added 10 points and five rebounds for the Wolverines (9-4, 3-2 CCAA D2 West), while Sophia Wolfe had five rebounds and six steals, and Olivia Wolfe collected four boards.

Emiley Anderson led Cassadaga Valley (6-5, 1-2 CCAA D1 East) with 25 points, grabbed seven boards, dished out three assists, made two blocks and picked up two steals. Breonna Hopkins had seven rebounds and three blocks; Andrea Johnson had two blocks and two assists; and Hailey Anderson made five boards and three steals.

Pine Valley (5-7, 3-0 CCAA East 2) survived a fourth-quarter surge by Fredonia (6-5, 1-2 CCAA West 1), being outscored 12-4 in the final frame.
