John Hagy is the new director of the Regional Accelerator and Mentoring Program, or RAMP, in Roanoke.
Hagy started Jan. 8 after previously working as managing director of the Carolina Angel Network at the University of North Carolina.

Leanne Bokinskie has joined Virginia Tech as assistant vice president for finance and operations at the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus.

In this role, Bokinskie will lead the financial planning and budgeting of the Innovation Campus and the facility operations of the campus and the Virginia Tech Research Center — Arlington.

Bokinskie is a certified public accountant with more than 30 years of experience in higher education, corporate business development, and financial planning.
She comes to Tech from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business, where she served as associate dean of finance and business operations. Prior to that, Bokinskie spent 14 years at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, where she was responsible for managing all financial aspects of the Office of Executive Education and negotiating client agreements.
She joined Emory after more than a decade in the telecommunications industry in business development and financial project management. She also spent two years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor in the manufacturing industry.
Bokinskie holds a degree in accounting from the University of South Florida.
