DAYTON — Dayton Lions Club Turkey Dinner is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. SUNDAY in the Dayton Community Center. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 12 and under and free for preschool age children.
EMMETSBURG — The Emmetsburg Public Library is holding Game Night from 6 to 9 p.m. TODAY at the Shores at Five Island. The library will have a selection of board games and card games on hand, or you are welcome to bring your own. The event is free.
GOWRIE — The Gowrie Fireman 65th annual fish fry will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the fire station, 1004 Main St., Gowrie. Dine-in and carry-out available.

FORT DODGE — “A Dickens of a Christmas” Craft and Vendor Show is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY at the Fort Museum Opera House, One Museum Road. There will be lunch and concessions available, gift wrapping for a freewill donation and raffle drawings at 3 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for photos. Admission is free, those attending are encouraged to donate two canned food items for the Lord’s Cupboard food pantry.
FORT DODGE — 515 Big Band concert is 7 p.m. SATURDAY at Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association Phillips Auditorium, 1015 Fifth Ave. N. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 17 and under.
FORT DODGE — The Fort Dodge Firefighters Association Ball is 8 p.m. to midnight SATURDAY at the Laramar Ballroom, 710 First Ave. N. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Pork Tornadoes with special guest Justin Goodchild will perform. Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the door.
FORT DODGE — 2023 Fall Vendor Show is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. SATURDAY at Citizen’s Central, 617 Central Ave. There will be a drawing for door prizes. Snacks and coffee will be available. Admission is free.
FORT DODGE — Community Health Center Coats for Kids is 9 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the center, 126 N. 10th St. This is a drive-thru event. Those in need of children’s coats can drive up to the front of the building. Staff will come out to the vehicle to get the sizes needed and will bring the coats out to the vehicle.
