Good morning West Michigan! After five straight overcast or near-overcast days (the longest streak since last January, by the way), it looks like we have just one more gray-sky day to endure before we get to see the sun again. Wednesday’s weather will be quite similar to Tuesday’s: cloudy, seasonably chilly, with a chance for occasional light snow maybe mixed with some rain.

Big weather changes begin tomorrow with a warmer, drier air mass that will translate into abundant sunshine and much warmer temperatures. A strong area of low pressure moving into the Great Lakes region (possibly right overhead) will bring a lot of wind and mild air (for this time of year) Friday and Saturday along with a soaking rain in the evening. A few thunderstorms can’t be ruled out Saturday night and very early Sunday morning as a much colder air mass moves in from the northwest.

Sunday will be windy and turning much colder with rain changing to wet snow by late in the day. There will likely be some accumulations by Sunday night/ Monday morning, but just how much we get is still to be determined. Stay tuned! It could be a wild ride!

Meteorologist Jeff Porter is tracking any snow showers popping up this morning. Plus, he has your out-the-door temperatures and a look ahead to the weekend. Catch his LIVE reports on News Channel 3 from 4:30 to 9:00!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
