Live updates, Tiger Woods score, golf scores, Round 1 coverage

Tiger Woods returns to the golf course on Thursday, marking his first appearance in an official PGA Tour event since the 2023 Masters. While no one knows exactly what to expect — other than his new Sun Day Red logo replacing the swoosh that became synonymous with Woods throughout his career — the 2024 Genesis Invitational should serve as a springboard not just for Tiger but the rest of the 70-man field.

The Genesis marks the first signature event this season with a cut — participants whittled down to around 50 golfers after 36 holes — and in many ways, it’s an annual test for golfers to see where they stack up with The Players Championship just two months away and the Masters not far behind that. Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy enter atop the odds board with Woods sitting 170-1 to win the event he hosts each year.

CBS Sports will be with you all week — particularly all weekend as we will air third-and fouth-round coverage live — with the latest scores, statistics, analysis and highlights from the Genesis Invitational.
