Axel Springer SE is granting ChatGPT-maker OpenAI the right to use content from its news outlets to develop artificial intelligence models and respond to queries from users.
As part of the deal announced Wednesday, San Francisco-based OpenAI will pay Axel Springer for articles and other content from publications that include Politico, Business Insider, and European properties Bild and Die Welt, the companies said in a joint statement.
